i actually prefer to do only custom personnel shoes....a pair of shoes you try on for fit and comfort...considering that a leather or man made leather of some sort works best ....heels or no heels does not matter....but there needs to be enough surface area of the shoes to paint on strappy shoes do not work very well.... satin i have not tried yet .... and cloths and patent leather work but are hard to work on
